More than 100 people were at a party Saturday night at a St. Paul residence when people starting shooting, sending attendees ducking for cover and leading police to find nearly 40 casings from at least three different guns.
“This was an incredibly dangerous situation and only by the grace of God was nobody seriously injured or killed,” said Steve Linders, a St. Paul police spokesman.
Officers responded to the Eastview neighborhood on Saturday at 9:40 p.m. on a report of shots fired. As they arrived to the 1600 block of Euclid Street, a few blocks from White Bear Avenue, they heard seven to 10 more gunshots.

Police were told the shooting was broadcast on Facebook Live. The video showed a large number of people gathered around a deck of a house, which the owner said someone had rented for a summer party. Five to 10 gunshots rang out, followed by a pause, more gunshots and an unknown person on the deck shooting a gun, Linders said.
A 24-year-old woman arrived at Hennepin Healthcare — her leg was cut after she heard the shots, ran and jumped over a fence, Linders said.
A nearby homeowner reported finding a bullet in his couch and there was a bullet hole in the window of another home.
The investigation is ongoing.
