When a foot of snow — and a Winter Storm Warning — drops in mid December, it’s understandable if you want to belt out ‘Let it Snow!” on repeat. Who among us does’t feel at least a little bit giddy from all that white outside? And amid an ongoing pandemic, there really is no place else to go.
But with the arrival of the first big snowstorm of the year also comes great responsibility.
As New Englanders, it’s our duty to show everyone — from our next-door neighbors to the transplants living in warmer climates — exactly what they’re missing. Almost anything is fair game: ice formations, snow-covered cars, kids playing in snow, dogs licking flakes, or even a simple blanket of frost — anything to put a visual to the storm we just endured.
So, toss your shovel aside. Put down the ice scraper. And for goodness sake, just wait a minute before you put in your Dunkin’ order. We want to see your best snow photos from Thursday’s storm. Send us your photos in the survey below or e-mail community@boston.com and we will share them in an upcoming article on Boston.com.
