Bruins, Northeastern send well wishes to seriously-injured Massachusetts HS hockey player - WCVB Boston

The Massachusetts hockey community is rallying around a high school player who was seriously injured on the ice.A.J. Quetta, a senior at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, crashed head-first into the boards in a game against Pope Francis Tuesday night in West Springfield.Bishop Feehan President Tim Sullivan says Quetta was taken off the ice on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital."Right away, everyone knew something was wrong," Sullivan said. "He was injured severely."Both teams gathered at center ice following Quetta's injury in a moment of solidarity."It touched my heart," Sullivan said.Both the Boston Bruins and the Northeastern University men's hockey team are among those sending their best wishes to Quetta, a Providence native."The Boston Bruins are sending best wishes to Bishop Feehan hockey player A.J. Quetta," reads a statement from the team. "We are keeping A.J., his family and the Bishop Feehan team in our hearts during this very difficult time.""Our thoughts are with A.J. Quetta and the Feehan hockey community. Get well soon!" tweeted the Northeastern Huskies.A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Quetta's family cover medical costs.
