Orlando City SC have sent goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar, defender Michael Halliday, and midfielders David Loera and Jordan Bender for an offseason training stint with Liga MX side CF Pachuca. The quartet arrived on January 15 and will stay in Mexico through January 24.

“We are excited for this group of players to spend time training with a top club like Pachuca,” EVP of Soccer Operations Luiz Muzzi said in a club statement. “Mason, Jordan, David, and Michael will all have the opportunity to experience a different soccer culture, a new routine, and a new environment.”

Stajduhar, 23, signed his first professional deal with Orlando in 2016 though is yet to make his MLS debut with the club. Halliday, who turns 18 this week, is also yet to debut. He signed during the 2020 season.

Loera, 22, made two MLS appearances off the bench for Orlando last year while Bender, 19, made two appearances (one start) in MLS in his first season.

Offseason training stints are common of late in MLS. FC Dallas have sent a group to Bayern Munich for the last several winters, while Orlando pair Chris Mueller (SC Braga) and Benji Michel (Athletico Paranaense) got extra training in abroad last offseason.
