Four of the five former presidents have joined together to urge people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama appear together along with their first ladies in the Ad Council’s campaign, “It’s Up To You.”
Missing from the spot were former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump.
Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, are shown in the advertisement getting vaccinated. Carter shows his vaccine card, saying, “I’m getting vaccinated because we want this pandemic to end as soon as possible.”
The other presidents also speak about wanting to get back to normal as images show each of the first couples getting inoculated.

The ad was released on the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus pandemic declaration by the World Health Organization. As more people are able to get vaccinated, a poll by researchers at Ipsos last month showed about 40% of Americans are undecided about getting the vaccine, the Ad Council said.
A series of ads as part of a public education campaign will appear nationwide starting this week.
