Car crash: Lander Road
A Kent woman, 37, and her passenger, a Mayfield woman, 30, were not injured when their car hit an electrical transformer on the campus of Ursuline College shortly before 9 p.m. on March 15.
She told police the brakes went out on her 2012 Nissan Murano in the parking lot near the Pilla Student Learning Center, jumped the curb and struck the nearby transformer.
Damage to the car was unknown as it was towed from the scene. Police estimated that it had struck the transformer at a speed of about 15 mph, with no citations issued.
Car crash, assured clear distance: I-271
A Macedonia woman, 22, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital with possible injuries shortly after 8 a.m. on March 17 when her 2011 Chevrolet Malibu rear-ended a 2013 Ford Explorer that had slowed in northbound right-lane traffic.
That driver, a Parma man, 71, was not injured, and the woman whose Chevy sustained heavy damage was cited for failing to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Disturbance-unwanted guest, trespassing: Hunting Hollow Drive
Police responded for a report of an unwanted guest at a home shortly after 6 p.m. on March 11. The victim was listed as a Moreland Hills woman, 42, and the suspect male had left prior to police arrival.
