The Lancaster community and school district will have a send-off for members of the girls’ cross country team who qualified for the WIAA State Tournament. The send-off Friday starts at 12:20 in the back of the Lancaster middle school. Student-athletes and coaches will be escorted by fire and police vehicles for a drive-by at Winskill Elementary about 12:30. They will then go past St. Clement’s school and travel around the Square before heading back to the high school Friday afternoon. The members of the Lancaster Girls’ Cross Country team are set to compete at state on Saturday morning at 9:30 in West Salem.
The Flying Arrows who qualified for state include –Kristen Muench, Bridee Burks, Anna Murphy, Finley Knapp, Meg Walker, Maddie Schneider, and Mallory Olmstead – along with Coach Taylor Reynolds and Coach Stuart Harper.
