At 5:01 p.m., officers responded to reported ShotSpotter activity in the 10400 block of Nattress Way just west of 105th Avenue in the city’s Sobrante Park neighborhood.
When they arrived, they found a man behind the wheel of a vehicle suffering from one gunshot wound to his neck and multiple gunshot wounds to his back. Officers provided emergency life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A motive for the shooting was still under investigation, and officers did not release any suspect or vehicle description.

At 5:12 p.m., officers received reports of a possible shooting near East 19th Street and 23rd Avenue in the city’s Highland Terrace neighborhood, and arrived to find a man initially described as suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers at the scene later said preliminary evidence suggests the victim was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
